Greg offers his beautiful acoustic guitar music throughout Northern California including the Greater Sacramento Valley and Foothills, Lake Tahoe, Gold Country, Bay Area, Yosemite, and Napa Valley. Private Lessons

Greg is now offering weekly private lessons at his home in East Sacramento, as well as at Guitar Workshop, also located in East Sacramento. Currently Greg is teaching Monday and Tuesday evenings and Friday afternoons at home, and Wednesdays and Thursdays at Guitar Workshop.

Greg has been teaching privately for almost 20 years as well as teaching guitar courses at California State University, Sacramento, and Sacramento City College. Greg holds a Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar performance under Dr. Richard Savino, and a Master of Music degree in composition under Stephen Blumberg.

Greg is also an accomplished electric guitarist, having played professionally in a wide variety of groups in such styles as classic rock, folk/rock, acid jazz/funk, and heavy metal. Classical guitar and classic rock are the two styles closest to his heart.

Greg teaches beginning through advanced students, and teaches in both standard notation and tablature, with emphasis on standard notation. Greg stresses proper technique, theory, tone production, overall musicality and repertoire (tunes). In addition, Greg is passionate about the guitar and stresses having FUN while learning. Students also have access to Greg's extensive music library.

Rates: $30 per half hour weekly, $50 per hour weekly, $60 per hour occasionally
